Ala Moana Beach Park

One place I really enjoyed was the Ala Moana Beach Park, which was located about a mile from my motel. It doesn't seem to get a lot of hype as a tourist attraction, but I found it to be a terrific place to spend some time. The park has an incredible view of Diamond Head on one side and the Waiianae mountains on the other. It has a nice marina, large picnic areas with lots of trees and walking and bicycle paths. In addition there are numerous park benches troughout the complex, including some right on the water, where one can just sit and sort of drink it all in. There is even a large parking lot if you happen to be driving. This site includes numerous images from various areas of the park.
